FROM THE PREFACE OF POPE FRANCIS
«If our time is poor of poetry it is not because beauty has failed, but because we find it hard to listen. […] Luca’s poetry knows how to grasp a new, different depth in what seems random. […] Beauty is an experience, and this young man proves it in three different directions: looking at himself, looking at others and looking at God “.
FROM THE AFTERWORD OF MONSIGNOR SPADARO
Why not me? » The reader may ask himself. Why can’t I write too? And this is in fact the poet’s challenge: to make it clear that there is an expressive world that we can look at as the darkroom of life. And that is within our reach. Poetry is democratic, not detained by the elites. Luca tells us that poetry “serves us” only if it has to do, in one way or another, with what we really want from life, if it enters into a strong and real relationship with our concrete existence, its tensions, its desires and its meanings, even its banalities.
